About Coach

Coach Lanae Porzio I was raised in Big Bear most of my life and participated in multiple sports growing up, soccer and softball were favorites. As an adult, I began rock climbing. I love getting outdoors and camping with my daughter. In late 2012, I was introduced to Crossfit and participated in many local Crossfit events. I took a short break from Crossfit after having my daughter in April 2015. In October 2016 I became a level 1 Crossfit instructor and in October 2017 completed my Crossfit Weightlifting course. In August of 2021, I completed my level 2 course. I enjoy Olympic lifting most of all. If it involves a barbell then I will likely be there! Running on the other hand...I'll be there in spirit.

Motivation & Passion

I love helping athletes grow and learn to appreciate what their bodies can do. Growing up I struggled always having a muscular build and never feeling very feminine because of it. Crossfit gave my body a purpose and helped me learn that being strong is beautiful. It's a place to surround yourself with so many different body types, each one there for themselves and supporting the people around them at the same time. Crossfit is about more than getting fit, it’s a place to have fun, relieve stress, strengthen your mind, find a new family, and change your life.
